OpenSky Policy Institute seeks to hire an Outreach and Development Intern for the remainder of 2021 to help coordinate OpenSky’s outreach and development work. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to assist the Deputy Director and Operations Manager conduct end-of-year outreach and development activities. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the coordination of OpenSky’s outreach efforts; and
- Assisting in OpenSky’s end-of-year fundraising efforts including the production of the organization’s year-end fundraising appeal.
It’s essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.

The Outreach and Development Intern will assist OpenSky with year-end outreach and development work.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
The responsibilities of this position include coordination with the outreach and development teams. Responsibilities for the position include:
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills

- Self-motivation, ability to work independently, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Willingness to work as a part of a team and enthusiasm for building relationships
- Scheduling and coordinating events
- Assisting mailings and print production
- Compiling contact lists
- Creating or updating databases
- Attendance at specified in-person and virtual events
