NEBRASKA – Nebraska once again has the lowest unemployment rate in the nation, but the state’s labor force is still well under what it was before the pandemic.

Data released last Friday says Nebraska’s unemployment rate fell to 3% in October, but a big factor in that number dropping is the decrease in people searching for jobs. Analysis by OpenSky Policy Institute says the number of employed people in Nebraska has declined by roughly 21,000 since March, and Nebraska’s labor force declined by nearly 33,000 people from March to October.
