On Tuesday, Gov. Jim Pillen joined lawmakers and tax groups who support his plan for more than $6 billion in income and property tax cuts over the next six years.
In its report, KETV spoke with Dr. Rebecca Firestone, executive director of OpenSky Policy Institute. She expressed concern that tax cuts proposed this year will lead to fewer revenues for essential services when there is a downturn in the economy.
“Our projections of that suggest that the numbers really don’t add up in the long run,” Firestone said.
