How Tax Modernization Committee options could impact ‘Real Taxpayers’
The infographic below is a wrap-up piece related to the “Real Taxpayers of Nebraska” scenarios we examined over the past several days.
Those scenarios include sales tax expansion, increasing state aid to K-12 education, enacting a property tax circuit breaker, bolstering the property tax credit and cutting the top income tax rate.
In addition to these scenarios, we have included in today’s graphic a section to show how exempting all Social Security income would affect our taxpayers. As you can see, such a measure would only benefit one of our taxpayer families.
