Governor Jim Pillen called a tax relief plan announced Wednesday “historic.”
“The largest tax cuts in the history of Nebraska,” Pillen said while surrounded by the state senators introducing multiple bills aimed at getting it done. They include:
- A major reduction to the income tax rate
- Speeding up already-approved tax cuts
- Agricultural Valuation Fairness Act
- A shift in the way community colleges are funded
- Opportunity Scholarship Act
